About Me

Hi, I'm Eylül, it means September in Turkish. I grew up in Istanbul, a city where you can have breakfast on one continent and dinner on another without leaving town, maybe that's part of why I never learned how to stay still either.

Over the past 15 years, I've explored over 45 countries and more than 200 cities. I've lived in three of those countries, Bali is one of them, the one that held me the longest.

I moved to Bali with the nudge of the pandemic, not exactly the best timing, my arrival came with a quarantine week in Jakarta before I even set foot on the island, but somehow it turned out to be the best possible time to fall for the place. I left corporate life behind and started working remotely from Bali instead. Four years there is where I traded a desk job for surf mornings, padel evenings, and a laptop that goes wherever I do.

I'm happiest sipping a coconut by the ocean, having a padel game, or catching the sunset with a drink in hand. I'm always down for an outdoor adventure, whatever shape that takes: biking somewhere remote, a hike that starts at 2am, or chasing down a surf spot I haven't tried yet. Ocean to mountains, and everything active in between, that's basically the whole website.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoy this blog.

Eylül xx
